I got one of these recently and was pleasantly surprised. Action is reasonable and what you’d expect on a steel string acoustic (on the lower side.) However the light gauge strings make it much easier to play and solo on, especially if you’re an electric player.
The guitar’s look doesn’t scream rock but you can definitely shred on it. I really love how light weight it is but definitely feels like a well built guitar, and for $700 I wouldn’t expect anything less. The tuners are definitely on the cheap side and have some play in them but not a deal breaker, however I’ll look at upgrading them with something better quality at some point. This guitar isn’t anything like the cheaper Haze branded guitars I own.
The sound is great too! You can definitely play it unplugged and it’s as loud as a good semi acoustic. Plugged in it has the classic dual humbucker setup but with the bonus of having a coil split you can get some Telecaster twang! The added piezo pickup gives a good acoustic sound adjustable with independent (yet basic) volume, treble and bass controls.
You really have two guitars in one but without the shoulder breaking weight like the Godin XT series which have a similar setup.
